Itinerary:
Day 1: Hometown - Mexico City
Departure on a flight to Mexico City. Arrival at Mexico City International Airport. Transfer and assistance from the airport to the hotel. Check in. Rest of the day free. Lunch and dinner at leisure. Accommodation.
Day 2: Mexico City (Basilica of Guadalupe + Teotihuacan Pyramids)
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Zócalo, the National Palace (outside). We will see the ruins of what was the main temple of the Aztecs and the metropolitan cathedral. Panoramic visit to the Plaza de las Tres Culturas; historical site where the last battle between Aztecs and Spaniards took place and which symbolizes the fusion of 3 cultural eras represented by the Aztec ruins; the church of Tlatelolco and the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We will continue to the Basilica of Guadalupe, where we will see the original image of the Virgin of Guadalupe. You will learn the story of how it was captured on the cloak of the indigenous Juan Diego and you will see the ancient basilica at the foot of the Tepeyac hill. By a modern highway we will go directly to the archaeological zone of Teotihuacan, the city of the gods, 50 km away where we can admire the impressive pyramids of the sun and the moon; walk along the avenue of the dead; we will visit an obsidian workshop for the demonstration of this and the maguey. Lunch and dinner at leisure. Accommodation.
Day 3: Mexico City - Querétaro - San Miguel de Allende
Breakfast. Departure to Querétaro, a World Heritage city, where we will visit the Aqueduct, the Ex-Convent of the Cross and the Historic Center, Plaza de la Corregidora, Teatro de la República, among others. We will continue on our way to San Miguel de Allende. Afternoon to explore this peaceful city where the great comedian Mario Moreno "Cantinflas" lived and where artists and intellectuals reside. Notable places include the Parish of San Miguel Arcángel, the Chapel of the Santa Casa, the Convent of the Conception, the Church of San Francisco and the Allende House and Institute. You will find a wide variety of cafes and restaurants to choose from or stroll through its streets and squares. Accommodation.
Day 4: San Miguel de Allende - Guanajuato - Guadalajara
Breakfast. Departure to Guanajuato, a World Heritage city and home of the annual International Cervantino Festival. In the afternoon we will enjoy this beautiful city, full of alleys and squares, which offers us very interesting places such as the University, the Juarez Theater, the Alley of the Kiss, the house-museum of the muralist Diego Rivera, husband of Frida Kahlo. Its streets and underground avenues are unique in the country. In the afternoon, continue to Guadalajara, capital of mariachi and tequila. Accommodation.
Day 5: Guadalajara - Tequila - Guadalajara
Breakfast. Panoramic tour of its historic center: Cathedral, Rotunda of Illustrious Men, Government Palace (Murals by Orozco), Degollado Theater, San Juan de Dios Market, Cabañas Cultural Institute... We travel to Tequila, a Magical Town in Mexico, where we learn about the tequila process in a Distillery. We return to Tlaquepaque, a beautiful colonial town that offers all kinds of shopping: crafts, jewelry, colonial furniture, blown glass... as well as the chance to listen to the mariachi in its typical Parián. Accommodation.
Day 6: Guadalajara - Patzcuaro - Morelia
Breakfast. Departure to Pátzcuaro, Magical Town. Leisure. In the afternoon, panoramic tour: Basilica of Our Lady of Health, Temple and College of the Society of Jesus, the Tabernacle, the House of the Eleven Patios, Andador de Madrigal de las Altas Torres... Its typical squares of Vasco de Quiroga and Gertrudis Bocanegra invite us to stroll among popular scenes and a great variety of crafts. Continuation to Morelia. Accommodation
Day 7: Morelia - Mexico City
Breakfast. Panoramic tour of Morelia, Cultural Heritage of Humanity: Plaza de Armas, Government Palace, Garden and Conservatory of Roses, Clavijero Palace, Candy Market, Aqueduct, Fountain of the Tarascas, Alley of Romance. Return to Mexico City. Accommodation.
Day 8: Mexico City - City of Origin
Breakfast. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport to take the return flight to your city of origin. Arrival and end of services.
